June 2020 Sheetload of cards

 Good morning and Happy Tuesday!

A few months ago, I discovered on You Tube Sheetload of Cards by Call Me {Crafty} Al.  She has inspired me to start crafting again.  Here videos are clear and the printout that she provides is amazing. 

 A little back story, I was on the Scrapping for Less Design Team and when I stepped in Aug of 2019, I still supported Teresa and purchased the Flavor of the Month kits.  I collected and I collected, and I never cracked them open.  I think unused craft supplies are just as bad as an un-played with toy.

 Along comes June’s Sheetload and I went through ALL of my unused Flavor of the Month collections (4 collections per month, collection from 08/2019 to 11/2020 equals 60 collections!!) and I found 12 collections that would work perfectly with June’s Sheetload.  

In Crafty Al’s direction you can get 8 cards out of the paper requirements she lists, but in each of my collections I had 6 pieces of 6x6 paper that would yield me 12 cards!  Are you doing the math?

I am SO thankful that I found Sheetload of cards.  I am looking for to next months sheetload to see if I can beat my record of 144 cards in a month!

Summer Camp

July! 
What is another summer activity you enjoy? Lots of folk’s love summer camping and kids love going to camp. I spent 3 summers of my career life as a summer camp director at a girl's weeklong resident camp...it was hard work but yet super satisfying. I loved seeing the girls (most of them were city girls) being exposed to nature, hiking, and the outdoors.

Scrapping for Less – July FOTM Sneak

Good Morning and Happy Thursday!  Today I am on the Scrapping for Less blog to share with you a card using Kaisercraft “Wood Camping” Icons and Scrapping for Less Paper pack in collection #2 of this month’s FOTM kit!

Here is what I created:

First, I need to apologize.  

I’m Sorry.

Teresa and Kim have this AMAZING card kit and they pack in a TON of goodies and I have been playing safe.  I have not been using all the embellishment’s in the kit.  So, for my sneak I stepped out of my comfort zone and used the Kaisercraft “Wood Camping” Icon pieces.  I will admit that I scrap lifted the idea/layout from Stacy (here).  I also used a die that did NOT come in the kit.  Hurry and grab this kit because it’s ADORABLE!

Scrapping for Less Flavor of the Month - June 2019

Where is your most favorite place in the world? Well other than Ireland (oh how I love that country...another story for another day) my favorite place would be the beach and the ocean. I love and am fascinated by anything and everything that has to do with sand and saltwater! So, let's dive deep and see if we can spot any Under the Sea babies in that wonderful blue ocean water. Dive on through the hop and SEA what our fabulous designers brought to the surface for you! Now onto my cards:

 This card is from Collection 1 using Sketch 4.  The skin is colored with E000, E51, E53.  Her hair is colored with YR12 and YR14.  Lastly, her fin and top are colored with RV55 and RV66.

This card is from Collection 2 using Sketch 2. The fish is colored with YR12, YR14, & Y38.  The octopus is colored with Y02 and Y15.

 This card is from Collection 3 using Sketch 3.  I colored him with the following copic markers; E21, E25, E33, & E35.

This card is from Collection 4 using Sketch 3.  I made this card last and I was watching a movie with my son and I wasn't paying attention.  This collection should have been using sketch 1.  I didn't even catch that until my son asked where sketch 1 was.  I colored the turtle with G21, YG11, and YR12.  The sea horse is colored with YR12, YR14, and Y38.

Scrapping for Less - SNEAK for June 2019 FOTM

Good Morning and Happy Thursday fellow crafters!

Today I am on the Scrapping for Less blog to share a sneak from the June 2019 Flavor of the Month kit!

I used the stamps and paper from collection 3. 

When I saw the otters and then the sentiment I instantly thought of Yin and Yang!  So, I VERY carefully stamped them together and used my scan and cut to get this image!  I used the following copic markers on the otters and in the space between them (I didn’t want the white space to be a focal point); BG23, E11, E25, E33, E35.  The layout was inspired by Tuesday Morning Sketches #509:
