Die Cuttin’ Divas #429 – Embossing; Dry or Wet

Good morning!  I hope this blog post finds you well this beautiful Tuesday morning!  Today is a start of a new challenge from Die Cuttin’ Divas.  This week’s challenge is “Embossing; Dry or Wet!”  The challenge will run from today, Tuesday, July 16th until Monday, July 22nd.

Here is my inspiration for you:

I stumbled across this stamp company a few weeks ago.  I LOVE hydrangeas.  They are one of my favorite type of flower!  I went with wet embossing and used clear powder from my stash.  After embossing, I colored with copics (V20, V22, V25, G07, B60), trimmed down the image with my Jaded Blossom Rectangle Die 1 and then I mounted it on to an A2 card base.  I finished my card by adding in some Doodle Bug Sprinkles!

Here is what I used:

Doodle Bug Lilac Glitter Sprinkle Assortment

Always Fun Challenges #118 – Anything Goes & Polka Dot Orchard Guest DT

Good Morning and Happy Monday!  Today is a start of a new challenge from Always Fun Challenges.  This week’s theme is “Anything Goes!” The challenge will run from today, Monday, July 8th to Saturday, July 13th.   I am also a Guest Designer this month at Polka Dot Orchard!

Here is my inspiration for you:

I have been on a wreath building kick for the last few weeks.  When I saw these boots and hat I knew I wanted to make them into a wreath, but how do you do that with a digi stamp?!  It was trial and error.
First I created a 4"x 4" square and then a 2.5" x 2.5" circle inside of the square.  I made the text fit inside the square and then I shrunk down the boot and hat images and lined them up around the circle, rotating every 45 degrees.
My first creation had the boots and hat to small to color, so I made them larger and shrunk the words a little bit more.  What you see above is my final product!

Here is what I used:

Nuvo Glitter Drops – White Blizzard
Copics – C00, C1, C4, C5, C6, C7, R35, Y17

Looking forward to seeing your creation!  Thank you for stopping by.  Make each day creatively crafty and stay tuned for more craftiness!

Scrapping for Less & Newton’s Nook Designs and Echo Park Paper

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!  Today I am on the Scrapping for Less blog to share with you THREE different cards using Newton’s Nook Designs “Lake Advice” stamp set & “Picnic Blanket” stencil by Echo Park Paper Co.!

 Here is what I created:

These cards were inspired by video that Jennifer McGuire posted about a week ago.  I used my Gina K 4”x 4” wreath builder template with the Ranger Distress Oxide inks and stenciled the corners of the cards.  Next, I cut I cut 4.25”x 8” cardstock for my card base.  I LOVE this technique that Jennifer shared with us in her video.  I am looking forward to using this technique in the future.

Here is what I used:
Newton’s Nook Designs – “Lake Advice” stamp set
Echo Park Paper Co – “Picnic Blanket” Stencil
Ranger Distress Ink – “Peeled Paint”, “Faded Jeans”, & “Gathered Twigs”
Nuvo Glitter Drops – “White Blizzard”
